Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain batch job definitions in Automic for new applications and enhancements to existing workloads based on approved batch catalogues.
  • Schedule, monitor, and support batch jobs across production and non-production environments, ensuring timely execution and operational stability.
  • Provide Automic support for service requests and project implementation activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Performance Testing (PT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Full Dress Rehearsals (FDR), and Actual Cutover (ACO).
  • Perform quality assurance and validation of batch job configurations to ensure compliance with established operational standards and governance.
  • Administer system connectivity through Automic, including API integrations, Managed File Transfer (MFT), SharePoint, file sharing networks, and web service interfaces.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Automic agents across supported platforms.
  • Participate in the configuration, migration, deployment, and testing of batch workloads across Automic v11 and v12 environments.
  • Configure and support IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer (MFT) connections for internal and external file exchanges.
  • Configure file patterns and perform end-to-end connectivity testing for new and existing interfaces.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate connectivity between SFX UAT environments and Automic UAT environments to support project testing activities.
  • Deploy Automic and Managed File Transfer configuration changes in accordance with change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling, connectivity, and batch execution issues, working closely with application, infrastructure, and project teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support operational improvements, documentation updates, and other duties assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise batch scheduling and workload automation using Automic (UC4).
  • Solid experience with:
    • Automic Workload Automation (v11/v12)
    • Batch job configuration and scheduling
    • Automic agent installation and administration
    • IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer (MFT)
    • API integrations, web services, SharePoint, and file transfer technologies
    • Batch migration, deployment, and change management
  • Experience supporting application testing phases including SIT, PT, UAT, FDR, and production cutovers.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT operations, release management, and production support processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across application, infrastructure, and project teams.
  • Experience within the banking or financial services industry is good to have.
  • Automic (UC4) certification or relevant workload automation certifications.
